Objective

Our self-service request supports generating letters using the customer’s in-house template, which we refer to as a third-party report. This document explains how to use your own report to replace the Soletechs standard report.

Prerequisites

• The customer must have their own model, with a reference to the SDS model.
• The new report must be created in the customer’s own model (not in the SDS model).

Steps to Create the SSRS Report

1. Create a new SSRS Report in the customer’s model.
2. Add a new Dataset:
   • Name: LetterDS
   • Data Source Type: ReportDataProvider
   • Class: SDSLetterReportDP
   • Fields: Select all fields
3. Click OK to save the dataset.
4. Create a new Precision Design.
5. Design the report layout as per customer requirements.
6. Build the report.
7. Deploy the report.

Change the Report Design Configuration

1. Open the Report Setup screen for Letters.
2. In Design Source, select Third-Party Report.
3. In Third-Party Report, select your new report name from the lookup.
4. In Custom Design, select your Precision Design name.
